About The Role

As a Dental Assisting Teacher, you will deliver engaging, practical training that prepares students for real-world careers in the dental industry. You’ll support learners to build confidence, develop job-ready skills, and progress into employment or further study, while ensuring training meets current industry standards and compliance requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver engaging, hands-on Dental Assisting training using structured curriculum
• Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Monitor student progress and support learners at risk
• Develop and adapt training materials, assessments and resources
• Participate in assessment moderation and validation activities
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with VET and regulatory standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality education delivery

What You’ll Bring

• Experience as a Dental Assistant with strong industry knowledge
• Proven skills in engaging, student-focused training delivery
• Experience supporting diverse learners in inclusive environments
• Strong organisational, communication and digital literacy skills
• Ability to incorporate industry insights and blended/digital learning
• Commitment to quality, compliance and student outcomes

Qualifications/Requirements

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) and/or a higher teaching qualification.
• Vocational qualifications relevant to the course delivered.
• Current industry experience to maintain vocational currency
